MISADVENTURES: Seattle Part 2

Day three of our trip my parents were there and we it would be a great day to check out seattle. Our first stop was the Science fiction/music project museum. It has tons of memorabilia from different science fictions books, movies and tv shows. If you are into science fiction you would have loved it. Some things were saw were things from Planet of the Apes, Star Trek, Star Wars, and Twilight Zone. The music part of the museum had stuff from local artists. Some of them were Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, and Presidents of the United States of America. They also had a room were you could go and play different instruments or even go in a recording studio and record yourself playing the guitar, piano, drums, or even vocals.

Our favorite exhibit in the Science Fiction museum was the Jim Henson exhibit. They had things from sesame street, the dark crystal, muppets and fraggle rock. The best was you got to see what it was like to animate one of the different puppets. You chose whatever muppet you wanted then they played a song and you grooved along while watching your self on a monitor so you knew what you were doing.

I ran for the Kirk Cobain puppet.

Andy chose this one. I don't know what his name was.

Adalyn was Grover. And my mom did it like four times with Adalyn. One time she was even controlling two muppets at the same time. We finally had to tell her it was time to leave just to get her to stop.

After the museum we went to the Children's Museum. It was awesome. The first stop was a woodland play area. It had logs to crawl through. A bat cave to run through. They had stones you could turn over and find different animals under them.

They even had a fun slide. This was cozy's favorite.

The next part we went to was a village. They had fun cars and boats to play in.

In the village they also had three different houses set up so kids could see how they live in differernt parts of the world. They had one from Ghana, Philippines and Japan. Each house also had some kind of buisness. The two I remember was a restaurant which you can see adalyn loved and they also had a sushi shop.

By this time of the day Andy and I were tired to we would just move from bench to bench while watching the kids run around.

Some other exhibits they had were a theater were they can dress up and play on a real stage with curtains, lighting, and even sound effects. They had an art room where the kids could go wild. They had a grocery store where the kids could shop and even check themselves out. It was a great museum. While the kids played for three hour a few of us decided to skip out for the last 30 minutes and go to the top of the space needle. We had a great surprise from Ben's cousin Seth (he is living is seattle for the summer), so we drug him with us.

The views were awesome from the top. We even could see where the filmed the boat house scenes in Sleepless in Seattle. The only problem was it was really cold and windy up there.

After a full day of fun we were all ready to go home. I had to add this last picture. We met the rest of the group at the parking garage. This is what we saw as we were crossing the street. At first Cosette was sticking her tongue out at us, but then she thought it would be fun to do it to the cars passing by. So funny.
