Fun Weekend

This weekend started early and was packed with a ton of fun. We started Thursday night by celebrating Andy's 30th birthday. It was a family affair. We had Andy's parents, grandma,
Andy's aunt, my parents,
me,
and Michael (Kimmie couldn't make it due to the fact that she is on a rotation down in Spartanburg, NC. She is in her last year of medical school). I had to throw this picture in. It cracked me up. To me it says "wow, this corn pudding is amazing". Not only was the company good, but the food was amazing. Rachel always goes above and beyond.
The next morning my parent's, Andy and I left for Washington DC. My dad and Andy were going up to play golf with my uncle and my mom and I were headed up for our stake relief society temple trip. We had a ton of people this year on the temple trip. We had enough to fill an entire charter, bus, plus we had a 15 seat van following behind. The bus ride up was not my best. For some reason I blew up like a balloon. My feet looked like an old ladies. you couldn't see my ankle bone, and my calves were the same size as my thighs. Luckily the person sitting across from me was a massage therapist and she insisted on giving me a 30 minute foot and leg massage. How nice was that. The temple was wonderful. So quiet and so peaceful. It was also so fun being able to spend the two day's with my mom. We were at the temple all day on friday and half the day on Saturday. That Saturday was also my cousin Laura's bridal shower.
It was wonderful. It was at the Tea Room at the Ritz Carlton. We started out by choosing a tea from a list of 10. They then brought out the cutest tea sandwiches. Next was a three teared stand filled with bite size pastries. Now, you would think that was enough, but no, they then brought out martini glasses filled with whipped cream topped with sliced strawberries. So good. It was fun meeting all of Laura's friends and seeing Laura so happy. After the tea, we went over to Tyson's to do a little shopping. While there my uncle dropped my dad and Andy off and we had dinner at Chipotle. We spent the rest of the evening with my cousin laughing and talking about the wedding. Now we get to look forward the wedding in September.
